Jahnel Group has a wonderful, caring, and knowledgeable team to accommodate our customers’ needs. Each member of the staff has first-hand experience in the buying and selling of antiques and collectibles. We will price your items at fair market value, using this knowledge and research, combined.
Our team members will circulate during each estate sale to answer any questions the customers may have and to ensure the proper handling of your home and its contents. Again, we want to maintain security, but, simultaneously, a pleasant experience for the shoppers.
We work on a number system. For example, if the sale starts at 9:00 am, a list of numbers will be posted outside, generally two hours prior. This system maintains safety and security, as only a set number of shoppers are allowed in at any one time.
Jahnel Group’s team members have accumulated an ever-growing list of dealers, collectors, and the like that we communicate up-coming sales to. We also advertise our sales through the major newspapers, (i.e. Times Union, Schenectady Gazette, Altamont Enterprise (when applicable), etc.), online, and through postcard mailers. Our customers always look forward to our sales!
Our pricing is extremely competitive. We typically charge 25-30% of profits, depending on the size of the estate. We encourage you to shop around with other agencies, as we’re sure you’ll find that we offer the lowest profit percentage point.
